I idefasen har Vind-Vind udført vindanalyser af Rødovre Port-projektet, som netop er blevet godkendt af Rødovre Kommune. Gefion Group opfører bl.a. tre højhuse på grunden, derfor er det vigtigt at have godt styr på vindforholdene. Rødovre Port ligger i øvrigt tæt på Irmabyen, som er i fuld gang – også med vindanalyser fra Vind-Vind.

Wind load simulated by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) has been talked about for decades. CFD has already been used in the car industry and airplane design for a long period. However, building design are much more complicated especially for two reasons. Buildings are normally not aerodynamics and the flow is not uniform. When the buildings are not aerodynamic turbulence will be developed. Turbulence is the difficult part of CFD and the part that requires a lot of computer power.

Innobooster has given Vind-Vind financial support for the project "Better use of wind calculations in the construction process". Vind-Vind in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) has started a project develop a validation program when CFD is used to calculate wind load on contructions. 

Vind-Vind fortælle om vindanalyser ved en højhus-konference i Aarhus til foråret 2017. De senere år er det blevet teknisk muligt at lægge arkitekternes 3D-modeller ind i beregningsprogrammer med de lokale vindforhold. Så kan planerne lettere justeres, inden byggeriet går i gang.
